Kota Kinabalu , Malaysia - Photos

I was away for a business conference in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia last week. Some photos from the trip.

KK is captivating with pristine beaches, spectacular waters and its slow paced island life.

Would the Education Sector see foreign investment in India?

With the demand for quality higher education outstripping the supply, it was time to open this sector for more competition and foreign investment. This could mean multiple things in the long run - Overall higher quality of education, More competition ( and innovation) for/by domestic educational institutes, Bridging the demand-supply gap, Bringing supply closer to the demand ( and thereby stemming the brain drain) and raising the quality of research and innovation in the country.

However, the government needs to carefully monitor the entry of global educational institutes because there is a real danger of fake and cheap institutes taking the students for a "ride" with marketing buzz and unheard degrees.

Herge Museum

A museum dedicated to one of the most popular comic book heroes - Tintin, opened in Belgium last week. Though I am not obsessed with Tintin comics ( I know a lot of them are), I do love the comic strip for its uniqueness and memorable characters.

Would love to travel to this museum to understand the mind of a genius !

Quote

Was reading the Forbes magazine, when I came across this interesting quote. It can't be truer.

" A boy becomes an adult three years before his parents think he does, and about two years after he thinks he does"
