Most popular Tamilian - IBN Live Poll
Polls are merely a cross-sectional view that at best claims to represent public opinion. I don't take the media conducted opinion polls too seriously , but what got me interested in this one was the topic.
IBN Live is conducting an online poll all of this week where readers can vote for their "favorite/popular tamilian ( I presume of the last 5 decades)" . The six personalities in the race are Prez. Abdul Kalam, M.S.Subbulakshmi, Periyar, Rajinikanth, Illayaraja, Viswanathan Anand.
The "could have been included but no space" list would include (In my opinion) M.S.Swaminthan, Rajaji, Kamaraj , M.G.R , Sivaji Ganesan, A.R.Rahman , R.K.Narayan, Jayakanthan.
Last heard the Prez was leading the polls.

Seems to be an interesting poll... I feel the Prez and ARR may compete finally, with Rajinikanth coming closer to themm...

I voted for Rajni. Shivaji, Kamal and Kalaignar would definitely be in the top 10. I would also go for CHO as a rank outsider but one of the best in the journalist category which is missing from the shorlisted panel

anon - Narain? Its still early days.
rk - Cho is not universally popular. Appeals only to the elitist. Annadurai is more popular than MK on that count.
