As protectionism & nationalization sweeps the world, can government intervention & regulated markets lead the way?

The answer is highly debatable depending on which end of economic spectrum you lie, but the clear truth is more and more countries are gravitating towards left of the center.

Amidst all this , this opinion piece in today's Business Times caught my eye. Ha, the title was too catchy !

1949: Only socialism can save China
1979: Only capitalism can save China
1989: Only China can save socialism
2009: Only China can save capitalism
